Ooo. It's fun to see your work change... or maybe you've always painted more landscape-y kind of things and I haven't seen them before. The yucca steps are beautiful. And I love the sketches you shared of the tulips. Maybe just to please me, you can do a series of flowers sometime?? :)
Part of my intention with being in a special place to do the work was to include the surroundings that make the place unique.
This is hard for me! I feel like I get too precious and fussy. I'm glad to hear you like it-- I'm gonna keep trying this direction for a little while, see what comes of it. Thanks!
I have a degree in design from Belmont Univ. in Nashville but have since returned to a true love of all things tactile, especially painting. I hope that in these few years of practice I've begun to develop what could be considered "a style of my own": one infused with color, character, perhaps some humor, and some little curiosities.
I will certainly keep working at it.
